Abstract

The author considers the assessment process as one of the most important elements of modern teaching and learning: the effectiveness of the educational process management largely depends on the correct organization of assessment. This article reveals the concept of criteria-based assessment as assessment, in which the learning outcomes of each student are correlated with a specific educational goal. The advantages and types of criteria-based evaluation are highlighted.
