TYPES OF MONETARY REGIMES AND UZBEKISTAN'S TRANSITION TO INFLATION TARGETING

Abstract

The central bank is considered an important link of the country's banking system, and it is the main subject of monetar (monetary) policy. Based on the country's proverb and its strategy, the central bank maintains a certain monetary regime. In this case, a selected indicator is tried to achieve it by setting a “nominal anchor” or Target Indicator. Economic literature as a” nominal anchor " is perceived as a target of GDP, money supply, inflation rate, exchange rate and other indicators. In this scientific article, the central bank studied in detail what monetary regimes will be carried out, studied the countries that have entered the inflation target regime by the regions where the countries of the world are currently located, and their indicators set in 2023, as well as the achievement of the target indicator and its results after the 2021 Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
