Abstract

This article addresses the persistent legal and social barriers to women's political participation in Uzbekistan and the urgent need to enhance their representation in decision-making processes. Despite advancements in education and employment, women in Uzbekistan continue to face significant challenges in accessing political leadership roles. The brief analyzes the socio-cultural, socio-economic, and security-related barriers that hinder women's political advancement and proposes actionable policy recommendations. These include legislative reforms, institutional support mechanisms, and public awareness campaigns to create a more inclusive and representative political environment. By addressing these challenges, Uzbekistan can foster a more equitable and democratic society, ensuring that women's voices are equally represented in the political sphere.
