INDEPENDENT EDUCATION: ESSENCE AND NEED

The article discusses the nature and necessity of independent education, which determines the choice of work goals that match the scientific and methodological topic (problem) of the school, the formation of a personal topic, and the understanding of the sequence of one's own actions. In the opinion of the author, independent educational work should be gradually transferred to scientific research. Self–awareness, development of reflexive thinking, development on the basis of learning skills becomes a system of self–regulation, a person's stable interest in independent education becomes a constant need for self–education, which indicates that the optimal level of self–development has been achieved.
