The article provides information about the holy places and pilgrimages of the shia communities. Furthermore, This article gives information as to the cities of Najaf, Karbala, Qum and Mashhad, which are considered holy places after the pilgrimage of shias in Mecca and Medina. Together with this, in this article were studied shrines within the holy places called “atabat”, “atabat-e aliyat” or “atabat-e moqaddas”, “arbain” among the shia communities.
