This article presents the perspectives of various economists on the concepts of import and export potential, along with their theoretical analysis. It highlights the significance of Uzbekistan’s participation in international trade as part of its integration into the global economy. Particular attention is given to the advantages of exporting goods and services with relative production advantages, including efficient resource utilization, more comprehensive satisfaction of public needs, and increased production volumes through the use of scientific and technological advancements.
