This article is aimed at analyzing lexical and phraseological units expressing luck and misfortune in the
Uzbek language. The study studies the semantic properties, cultural context and communicative functions of these
phraseologisms in speech. The units expressing luck and misfortune are associated with the historical, cultural
and social experience of the Uzbek people and reflect the values and stereotypes expressed through language. The
study also conducted a comparative analysis of these phraseologisms with other languages, including English and
Russian. The results show that such units reflect changes in society, values and expressive aspects of
communication.
