In this article, we will analyze the genetic-etymological description of horticultural terms, the term
etymology, that is, the types of lexemes according to their meaning, historical origin, and the study of the original
root of words. The etymological study of words helps to determine whether or not words are taken from another
language or come from their own layer. It is worth noting separately that we will analyze the fact that words
borrowed from other languages in English constitute a larger number of words borrowed from pure English during
the etymological study of horticultural terms.
