Abstract

Newspaper headlines serve as an essential component of mass communication, performing both informational and persuasive functions. This article explores the structural and semantic features of newspaper headlines, analyzing their syntactic organization, lexical characteristics, and pragmatic intentions. The study is based on a corpus of headlines from contemporary newspapers, focusing on their ability to capture readers’ attention and convey complex information succinctly. The findings emphasize patterns of linguistic creativity and semantic compression, underscoring the interplay between form and meaning. This research provides insights
