This article analyzes the issues of religious tolerance, the understanding of national identity, and the renewal of their interaction in Uzbek society during the years of independence. The harmful consequences of religious extremism, missionary activity, and terrorism are highlighted, as well as the importance of respecting religious heritage and values in a secular state. Furthermore, the activities of various religious denominations, their adherence to the principles of enlightenment and religious tolerance, and the processes of spiritual renewal and modernization of society are examined. Special attention is given to the use of religious values and traditions in the process of spiritual revival and the role of religion in the spiritual life of Uzbekistan.
