This article is devoted to the study of the Institute for Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) as one of the key elements of the modern system of rulemaking in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Special attention is paid to the processes of implementing the principles of "smart regulation" based on an in-depth analysis of the consequences of adopted regulatory legal acts, as well as ensuring the active participation of civil society institutions and the business community in regulation.
