In this article, ethnonyms and their origin were analyzed based on the oldest sources and examples were given. The necessary sources within this topic were considered and detailed conclusions were drawn. Since the chosen topic is still widely studied by researchers, the newest and oldest sources were analyzed comparatively, and scientific works on this topic were also considered.
