REALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT OF “LOVE” IN ENGLISH PROVERBS

This article analyzes the linguistic-cultural and semantic manifestation of the concept of “love” in the system of English proverbs. The study highlights how love is expressed in English paremias as an emotion, a moral value, devotion, and life experience. The proverbs are examined in terms of the power of love, its contradiction with reason, its relation to time, and its harmony with human virtues. As a result, it is substantiated that the concept of “love” in English paremiology is an essential component of the people’s worldview, cultural values, and life philosophy.
