The article deals with biographical approach in the interpretation of a literary work. The analysis are conducted focusing initially on the literary interpretation of the historical event known as a Narvaez expedition in “The Moor’s Account” by Moroccan-American writer Laila Lalami and investigates connections between plot development and author’s biography.
