The article describes the development of professional methodological competence of mathematics teachers using the elements of non–Euclidean geometries. In the author's opinion, it is appropriate to use non–Euclidean geometries, which are a unique alternative to Euclidean geometry, in the educational process of practical and non–standard problems, in order to increase the interest of mathematics teachers in professional activity and to form their methodological competence.
