NATIONAL-CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PROVERBS EXPRESSING THE CONCEPT OF "GOODNESS" IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

Abstract

This article is related to one of the most important linguistic issues in the problems of modern language and culture. In the process of comparative analysis of proverbs in two languages, the mentality and national character of the people is the main leader. Based on the unique mentality and customs of the English and Uzbek people, proverbs in the language can concisely and expressively show the national identity of the peoples. In the process of translating English proverbs into Uzbek or Uzbek proverbs into English and providing alternative versions of proverbs, it is very important to preserve the meaning. One of the factors that reflect the culture of the nation, the identity of the nation, and reflect its national values, is the oral creativity of the nation, which is unique to this nation. It is known that different cultures have different views on the same cultural phenomena. The way these concepts are expressed may also differ. Proverbs play a key role in conveying and preserving historical and cultural information about a particular nation. It is very important to analyze the relationship between culture and language issues.
