Ushbu maqolada O'zbekiston Respublikasi va Germaniya Federativ Respublikasida tovar belgilarini huquqiy muhofaza qilishning dolzarb masalalari ko'rib chiqilgan. Tovar belgisining huquqiy tabiati ochib berilgan, "huquqiy muhofaza" va "huquqiy himoya"kabi atamalar tahlil qilingan. Bundan tashqari, tovar belgilarini huquqiy muhofaza qilish bo'yicha ikki mamlakat qonunchiligining qiyosiy huquqiy tahlili o'tkazilgan. Ikki mamlakat qonunchiligining, o'xshash va o'ziga xos xususiyatlari, amaliy misollar keltirilgan. Amaldagi qonunchilikni takomillashtirish bo'yicha amaliy tavsiyalar berilgan.
