Abstract

The article is devoted to modern changes in the anthroponymic system of the Uzbek and German languages, new fashionable names and their popularization processes and reasons. Names that have been in tradition in recent years in both language nomenclature systems and the stages of their historical formation are periodized with the help of specific examples, and the changes in nomenclature currently occurring in both anthroponymic systems are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was found that traditional names in the German language are mainly formed by shortening existing traditional names and by various phonetic changes. In the anthroponymic system of the Uzbek language, names with a religious motive, mainly from the Arabic language, are popular, and this situation is typical for the names of representatives of both sexes.
