Abstract

This article studies the scientific and pedagogical significance of independent learning tasks in teaching
the Russian language in higher education. The study analyzed the effectiveness of independent learning in
students' learning of the Russian language, the role of consolidating knowledge, and the development of lexical
and grammatical skills. The results of the study showed that independent learning tasks increase students' interest
in the language and effectively develop their reading and writing skills. In addition, they help to increase students'
motivation and increase their interest in self-development. Independent learning tasks are an important
pedagogical tool for teachers in the process of teaching the Russian language, increasing the general level of
knowledge of students.
