As a result of researches carried out in modern linguistics, the phenomenon of foregrounding has been studied as a linguistic criterion. Specific characteristics and types of Foregrounding are classified. The promotion criterion was studied as a product of the integration of anthropocentric factors in the language and mental process. Its tasks in the language are highlighted, analysis and examples are given within the layers of the language.
