This article discusses the socio-economic, scientific-technical, and psychological-pedagogical reasons for modernizing the development of professional-pedagogical competent support in the field of physical education and sports. It examines the psychological-pedagogical aspects of didactic support, analyzes contemporary issues related to the development of professional-pedagogical competent support, and provides suggestions and recommendations for its implementation in the educational process.
