This article provides information on cultural differences by comparing taboos in English and Uzbek languages. Also, in the introduction to the article, is given a special understanding of the origin of the concept of taboo. Verbal and non-verbal characteristics of taboos are highlighted through examples and the importance of this topic is based on the opinions of scientists.
