In the article, several antinomic features are analyzed that are contrary to the rise of consciousness, literacy, book reading and education of the population, especially young people, in the information society of our country. Also, the fact that the rapid development of the information society has a significant effect on the reading level of the population, and the positive and negative aspects of the technical tools that are becoming common today and taking over our way of life are discussed.
