The article examines the uniqueness of the media aspect in the form of a media text, the integration of different semantic codes (linguistic and paralinguistic) of media texts in a single communicative environment. Media text is presented as a type, situation and sphere of communication. The purpose of the author of the article is to define communicative activity. The article reveals that a media text is an event that organizes a component of the semantic and syntactic intellectual linguistic lines of communicative activity, and also shows the basic principles of mass media.
