This article examines the relationships between the genres of non-fairy tale prose and the differentiation of folklore works, in particular the genres of Russian small epic. And also the clear signs between them are analyzed with the help of examples and the pragmatic aspects of non-fairy tale (folk) prose and their types in Russian folklore.
