This article pays special attention to the analysis of linguistic units in the work of the poet Salim Ashur. The introduction touches on the issue of the author's worldview, the reflection of elements of national culture in artistic creation. The next part analyzes the scientific research work devoted to the work of Salim Ashur and reveals the essence of linguistic units. The main part of the article is devoted to the analysis of linguistic units in the poetry of Salim Ashur, giving examples from the works of the poet and highlighting how reality is artistically interpreted through the linguistic units used in it. And in the summary part, the main results of the study are summarized, and general conclusions are given about the artistic function of linguistic units in the work of Salim Ashur.
