Abstract

The article discusses the conditions and tools that help students develop research skills and prepare them for research activities. As already mentioned, research competence shows the level of development of students’ thinking processes and research activities. It has been determined that the essence of research competence is the determination of personal characteristics, expressed in the readiness and ability of students to independently master a new system of knowledge based on previously acquired knowledge, skills and a set of skills. It has been determined that research competence can only be formed in the process of research activities. The main concepts that define the necessary conditions for organizing this type of student activity at school are research, independence, initiative, practical action, experimentation, teamwork, uncertainty, conflict situations and the presence of different points of view.
