THE IMPORTANCE OF FAIRY TALES IN CHILDREN'S LITERATURE

The role and importance of the following fairy tales in children's literature is explained. Today, fairy tales occupy a significant part of children's literature, and these aspects are analyzed on the example of an artistic fairy tale. Differences between fiction and folk tales are given. Also, the structural components of the fairy tale, current topics were researched on the basis of relevant literature. Includes an analysis of the fairy tale's influence on child development and education and the famous American writer Sarah Beth Drust's fairy tale "The Girl Who Could Not Dream".
