This article aims to reveal the concept and essence of one of the main economic categories of an enterprise – working capital. Various definitions of working capital were analyzed, the author formulated his definition of this term, studying effective methods of using working capital, as well as factors affecting the effectiveness of their use. The goals and objectives of working capital management are defined, effective management methods are described.
