Abstract

This article explores the strategies and methodologies employed in English language education to nurture oral speech competence among engineering students. Drawing upon communicative language teaching principles, instructors implement interactive activities, collaborative projects, and authentic communication scenarios to engage students in meaningful oral exchanges. Central to this process is the integration of domain-specific terminology, tailored to the specialized needs of engineering disciplines. Through exposure to authentic materials and immersive experiences, students develop the linguistic proficiency and confidence needed to articulate complex technical concepts fluently and coherently. Furthermore, the integration of technology, including language learning apps and virtual reality simulations, enhances the learning experience and provides students with additional opportunities to practice and refine their oral communication skills.
