SOCIAL CHARACTERIZATION OF METAPHORS IN DRAMAS (IN THE EXAMPLE OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES)

There is a certain difference between the conceptual and contextual themes of metaphorical components used in dramatic discourse. Unlike English dramas, Uzbek dramas use metaphors more frequently. This serves as one of the other cultural signs of expressing thoughts. It is permissible to group the type of metaphors used within the framework of a social stratum, which applies only to representatives of a certain social stratum, under the name of separate social metaphors or sociometaphors. This article presents some comments on the social characteristics of metaphors used in English and Uzbek dramas in character speech.
