In this article, Askar Mahkam's poetry is analyzed. The artist's skill in revealing the image of the grandmother, the interpretation of enlightened-mystical ideas in harmony with the classical traditions in contemporary poetry are highlighted. Brief comments about traditionalism and new views of the poet's poetry are given.
