The article deals with the problem of the development of psychological competence among middle managers of higher education. Initially, a cluster of socio-psychological and autopsychological competences of the head of the secondary level of higher education was compiled. On the basis of empirical analysis, the components of the model of psychological competency of the head of the middle level of the university are revealed.
