TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLANT PRODUCTION IN ENSURING THE FOOD SECURITY OF THE POPULATION

Abstract

Plant growing is one of the main branches of agricultural production, including the cultivation of crops, including cotton growing, grain growing, potato growing, vegetable growing, horticulture, and viticulture. It produces food for the population, raw materials are produced for the processing of light and food industries, and fodder crops for animal husbandry. An indicator of the sectoral structure is the share of products grown in each sector in the volume of all manufactured products. Currently, crop production occupies the largest share among all agricultural products.
