This article presents a philosophical analysis of the role of Abu Nasr Farabi in world science, as well as the importance of his legacy in the present day. In addition, the article highlights the main issues of philosophical views of the thinker, his contribution to the science of music, human development, education, his knowledge in the exact sciences. The ideas about the development of science in some of his works and the impact on modern education are analyzed.
