Abstract

This article is dedicated to the derivational analysis of lexical units related to folk medicine in English
and Uzbek languages. Folk medicine terms originate from the national culture and medical history of each
language, and the morphological and semantic aspects of these lexical units are examined. The article compares
the formation and development of folk medicine terms in English and Uzbek, their borrowing processes, as well
as the morphological and semantic characteristics of both languages. The research also explores the linguistic
formation methods and cultural contexts of folk medicine terminology.
