THE STUDY OF THE DOG MOTIF IN WORLD AND UZBEKISTAN LITERARY STUDIES

Abstract

The article analyses how the dog motif has been studied in world and Uzbek literature, its symbolic meanings in various cultures and literary movements, and examines the image of the dog in classical literature and modern works, starting from antiquity, from a literary-aesthetic, semantic and psychological perspective. In world literature, the image of the dog is represented as a symbol of loyalty, wisdom and protection, but is sometimes interpreted as a symbol of betrayal and crime. In Uzbek literature, this image is reflected in various ways in folk oral literature, classical poetry and modern prose. The scientific study of the poetic and analytical characteristics of this motif, its formation and transformation in different periods is one of the most relevant topics today.
