STATE LEADERS' HOLIDAY GREETINGS: LINGUISTIC, STYLISTIC, AND PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS

This article examines state leaders' holiday greetings as an essential genre of political communication from linguistic, stylistic, and pragmatic perspectives. Using the holiday speeches of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as a case study, the lexical-semantic features, stylistic devices, and speech acts of these addresses are analyzed. Additionally, the compositional structure and pragmatic strategies of holiday greetings are explored, highlighting their role in strengthening national unity, promoting key directions of state policy, and establishing public engagement. The article also emphasizes the function of holiday speeches in inspiring and motivating the public through linguistic means.
