The article analyzes the development and peculiarities of the institution of exemption from legal liability in Uzbekistan. It examines the processes of protecting human rights and freedoms, improving the judicial and legal system, and adapting international legal standards to the national legal framework. The study also discusses the application of exemption from legal liability in judicial practice, rehabilitation processes, and measures aimed at the democratization of the legal system.
