The article analyzes the life and activities of labor soldiers mobilized from Central Asia to construction and industrial enterprises in the Urals during World War II. Their social and living conditions, food supply, dormitory and housing problems are described. Labor conditions and social relations towards workers in the Chelyabinsk and Chkalov regions are analyzed.
