CERTAIN ISSUES REGARDING THE LEGAL STATUS OF THE BONA FIDE PURCHASER

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal status of the bona fide purchaser in civil law. The author highlights the lack of a precise definition of this concept in the current legislation of Uzbekistan, which results in inconsistencies in judicial practice. Particular attention is given to the protection of the rights of bona fide purchasers against the claims of original owners, focusing on the legal dilemma between revendication and the annulment of transactions. The study also examines international experience, especially the legal framework of the Russian Federation, to justify the need for amendments in national law. The paper is especially relevant to those who legally acquired property but later became involved in property disputes.
