The article examines the role of education management in improving the mechanisms for managing the advanced training of teachers in schools and assessing pedagogical skills. The article presents the results of theoretical and methodological research on the study of forms and methods for monitoring the content and dynamics of the development of a teacher's professional competence, as well as the mechanisms and conditions for organizational and methodological support for his or her pedagogical growth. Practical experience in managing the scientific and methodological work of educational institutions is provided.
