Abstract

In order to ensure sustainable economic growth and address environmental challenges, this study examines the opportunities and prospects for developing a green economy in Uzbekistan. The transition to a green economy is both economically and environmentally necessary. The study is based on a qualitative approach and uses secondary data from international reports, government legislation, and academic literature. The study highlights best practices in green finance, renewable energy development, and policy implementation. It highlights the need for increased public participation, greater investment in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy, and overall policy coherence for Uzbekistan’s green transformation. It makes recommendations such as strengthening green finance systems, improving policy coordination, training and upskilling workers in green sectors, and promoting global technology transfer partnerships.
