TAFIL BORROWINGS IN OLD UZBEK LANGUAGE

In this article, among the words borrowed from Arabic into Uzbek, the verbs of Chapter II ("fa'ala" verbs) and many words derived from their derivatives are analyzed. Some considerations regarding the term vajhi tasmiya in the tradition of Eastern classical philology and the role of this term in the history of Uzbek onomastics are also presented.
