This article discusses the importance of preparing students for international assessment programs from the primary school age and developing their skills in working with text. By developing students' linguistic competencies in a deeper way, it is possible to develop their ability to distinguish words and understand the meaning of a word or phrase in the text. An effective method for this is presented in this article.
