This article analyzes international legal norms related to environmental protection and their reflection in the national legal system. Specifically, it compares international agreements such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Agreement, the Ramsar Convention, and the Kyoto Protocol with the legislation of Uzbekistan. Mechanisms for ensuring environmental safety are explored through key national legal acts — the Law "On Nature Protection," the Law "On Environmental Expertise," and other normative documents. The article examines prospects for improving environmental policy through the integration of international experience and national approaches.
