The article analyzes the current challenges and opportunities for developing tourism, particularly ecotourism, in Uzbekistan’s market economy. Measures to expand tourism infrastructure based on the historical, cultural, and natural potential of the Samarkand region are discussed. The article also highlights the interest of domestic and foreign tourists in ecological tourism and its prospects.
