The article emphasizes that the concepts of professional competence development have been scientifically studied for many years in the field of world pedagogy. On the basis of effective use of the opportunities of modern educational technologies and the created educational methodological complexes, it was discussed that one of the important tasks is to create the theoretical and practical foundations of the process of developing the professional competence of future visual arts teachers.
