THE ROLE OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR IN THE ECONOMY OF UZBEKISTAN AND PROSPECTS FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT

The article analyzes the main indicators of Uzbekistan’s economy and highlights the role and importance of the private sector. Based on the data of the State Committee on Statistics for 2023–2024, changes in the structure of GDP, as well as in the sectors of services, industry, and agriculture are presented. The study examines the share of the private sector in gross domestic product, employment, and foreign trade, the number of enterprises, and tax reforms. Furthermore, international experiences are reviewed, particularly practices related to tax incentives, credit preferences, support for innovations, and integration with the education system in the private sector.
