This study analyzes the psychological and philosophical foundations of the mechanisms of national self-identity in countering extremist ideas and radical ideologies. The research reveals the factors shaping an individual’s national consciousness, its socio-psychological structures, and their role in ensuring ideological stability. The study examines the protective functions of national pride, historical memory, and cultural values in human cognition. Furthermore, it highlights philosophical concepts that strengthen the process of national self-awareness and their practical significance in combating extremism. As a result, the psychological mechanisms of forming ideological immunity among youth are substantiated, and pathways for developing a stable worldview through the system of national values are proposed.
